If you've ever found yourself staring at paint samples, comparing flooring options, or wondering if your furniture will work in a new space, you're not alone. Many homeowners know they want their home to feel more cohesive—they're just not sure where to start.

A home design consultation is designed to provide professional guidance without the commitment of full-service interior design. Whether you're refreshing one room or planning a renovation, a consultation can help you make confident decisions before investing in materials and furnishings.

What Is a Home Design Consultation?

A home design consultation is a personalized, in-home meeting where we discuss your goals, assess your space, and develop a plan that's tailored to your home and your lifestyle.

Rather than taking over the project, I work alongside you to answer questions, provide recommendations, and help you move forward with confidence.

Many of my clients simply want reassurance that they're making the right choices before spending thousands of dollars on flooring, cabinetry, furniture, or paint.

What We Can Cover

Every consultation is different, but we can discuss topics such as:

  • Paint colours and whole-home colour palettes

  • Flooring selections

  • Furniture layout and room flow

  • Lighting recommendations

  • Area rugs and furniture sizing

  • Window coverings

  • Artwork and accessories

  • Kitchen and bathroom finish selections

  • Planning for renovations or new builds

Whether you're updating a single room or making decisions for your entire home, the consultation is customized to your needs.

Before We Meet

You don't need to have everything figured out before our appointment.

If you have inspiration photos, renovation plans, flooring samples, or paint colours you've been considering, they're helpful to have available. If you don't, that's perfectly fine—we'll work through the options together.

During the Consultation

We'll walk through your home, discuss your goals, and identify what's working well and what could be improved.

I'll explain why certain selections work together, point out potential challenges before they become expensive mistakes, and offer practical recommendations that suit both your style and your budget.

My goal is to simplify the decision-making process so you can move forward with confidence.

After Your Consultation

Many homeowners leave feeling relieved. Instead of second-guessing every decision, you'll have a clear direction and a plan for your next steps.

Depending on your project, I can also provide follow-up design support, mood boards, shopping recommendations, or space planning if you need additional guidance.

Is a Home Design Consultation Right for You?

A consultation is a great option if you're:

  • Planning a renovation

  • Choosing flooring or paint colours

  • Updating a kitchen or bathroom

  • Buying new furniture

  • Unsure how to pull a room together

  • Looking for professional advice without hiring a full-service interior designer.

Sometimes a few hours of expert guidance can save you from costly mistakes and help you create a home that feels both beautiful and functional.
